Admissions to the Nursery
Newbury Park has a Nursery accommodating 52 children in both morning and afternoon sessions.
To apply for a Nursery place for your child please contact the school office on 0208 554 6343.
The waiting list for places is open to all children who have passed their third birthday.
Admissions are considered as follows: –
- “Looked after children” and children previously looked after but immediately after being looked after become subject to an adoption, residence order or special guardianship order. A looked after child is a child who is in care of a Local Authority as defined by Section 22 of the Children Act 1989.
- Siblings – with preference to older children according to their date of birth, preference will only be given to those with siblings who will still be in attendance at the date of the admission.
- All other applicants, with preference to older children according to their date of birth.
Admission to a nursery class does not guarantee admission to the main school. You will need to apply again for a place in a reception class through the London Borough of Redbridge at the appropriate time. If you child does not attend nursery or has a place in another early years setting this will not affect their chance when applying for school admission.
The Statutory Right to appeal does not apply to admissions to Nursery Classes.
