Admissions to the Nursery
Newbury Park has a Nursery accommodating 52 children in both morning and afternoon sessions.
To apply for a Nursery place for your child please contact the school office on 0208 554 6343.
The waiting list for places is open to all children who have passed their third birthday.
Admissions are considered as follows: –
- “Looked after children” (children in care of local authorities as defined by S22 of the Children Act 1989)
- Exceptional medical or social reasons which should be supported by a qualified professional directly involved with the child and will be considered by the Authority’s medical or psychological advisers.
- Siblings – with preference to older children according to their date of birth, preference will only be given to those with siblings who will still be in attendance at the date of the admission.
- All other applicants, with preference to older children according to their date of birth.
Admission to a nursery class does not guarantee admission to the main school. You will need to apply again for a place in a reception class through the London Borough of Redbridge at the appropriate time.
The Statutory Right to appeal does not apply to admissions to Nursery Classes.
Admission to the Main School (Reception to Year 6)
Newbury Park is a four form entry primary school with five forms of entry in year 4 (2016-2017 academic year)
If your child’s date of birth falls between 1 September 2012 and 31 August 2013 please view the London Borough of Redbridge website – www.redbridge.gov.uk and follow the link to school admissions.
The deadline for applications is 15 January 2017.
Children enter the Reception Infants class in the September following their 4th birthday.
