Book Week 2021

Monday 1st March 2021 – Friday 5th March 2021

Next week we will be celebrating book week with a range of exciting activities which will include two published authors and illustrators visiting us in our live lessons.   Our visitors will be Robyn Wilson-Owen and Victoria Crossman.

Robyn Wilson-Owen, illustrator of Bloom

Robyn was a set, costume and puppet designer for a long time before she started illustrating. She spends a lot of time drawing the world around her in her  sketchbook, which is where she finds most of her ideas.

Victoria Crossman, author and illustrator of Queens

After working in film costume for a number of years on projects like Harry  Potter and Star Wars, Victoria turned her hand to illustration. Her costume background heavily influences her work. She embraces a love of detail, colour and pattern.  Victoria realised that there are many amazing women throughout history who had ruled and led their people and deserved to be read about.

During the live lessons we will also be reading some fantastic new books which we were lucky enough to win by entering a school inclusive Gift Pack Competition run by Scholastic .

This, and many more fun activities, will be posted to your Google Classroom each day during Book Week.
