Year 6 SATs Preparation
Over the past year, the school has been developing a new logo to match our new mission statement, vision, values and aims. Children, parents and staff have given their ideas and with the help of designers we have chosen the ‘Landmark Logo.’
This celebrates and values our local community and our sense of place in the area we work and live. This theme of landmark and community came out very strongly when discussing identity.
There are 4 variations of the logo. The white logo on red background will be used on our red school uniform.
The ‘n’ of Newbury resembles the shape of the building outside Newbury Park tube station. It is a Grade 2 listed building winning a Festival of Britain architecture award in 1951. The original tube station was opened in 1903.
Horns Board Elementary school was opened in 1895, it was enlarged in 1904 and re-named Newbury Park Primary School in 1907. It was re-organised to accommodate mixed infants and juniors in 1940.
The ‘p’ of Park is shaped like a tree, to recognise our place in the green flag borough of London. Redbridge has a number of green flag parks across the borough, awarded by the environmental charity ‘Keep Britain Tidy’ for best parks and green spaces across the country.
We hope you like our new logo, we feel it is a more modern and fresh design that better represents our school.
