Our Events at NPPS
Diwali at NPPS
Our Diwali Lights Festival filled the school with colour, music and joy, as pupils, families and staff came together to celebrate this special festival of light. The event featured a variety of fun activities, including henna, face painting, a bouncy castle and an ice cream van, creating a wonderful community atmosphere.
A heartfelt thank you to our dedicated staff, supportive families and the Friends of Newbury Park Primary School (FoNPPS) for helping to make this such a memorable occasion!
Harvest at NPPS
In October, our school came together to celebrate Harvest. Our Year 3 Rights Respecting Ambassadors helped to lead thoughtful Harvest assemblies, helping everyone reflect on our school value of compassion and the importance of caring for our community. They also reminded us how our actions link to children’s rights, such as the right to food and good health.
Together, we created a beautiful Harvest rainbow, with each year group bringing food in packaging of a different colour. The colourful display in our hall was a wonderful symbol of unity and hope.
We also enjoyed singing a French harvest song, Merci pour la nourriture, as a joyful way to say thank you for the food we have and to remember those who may not have enough.
All of the donations collected will go to support local organisations that help families in need. Thank you to all our families for your generous donations - your kindness makes a real difference to our community.
