The Headteacher and Governors of Newbury Park Primary School seek to appoint a School Business Manager with vision, drive, skill and experience to this pivotal and strategic role within the school.

The successful candidate will be responsible to the Headteacher and the Governors for all aspects of Finance, Human Resources, Premises and Administration. As the School Business Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the smooth running of the school’s operations. You will work closely with the Headteacher and senior leaders to manage financial planning, resources, facilities, and administrative functions that contribute to creating an effective learning environment.

Applicants should have:

 A strong financial background with significant experience in strategic financial management.

• A commitment to securing new revenue opportunities.

• A high level of drive and determination.

• Experience in Human Resources and managing a busy office team.

Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Basic numeracy skills; willingness to learn financial management processes
- Ability to use IT systems confidently (e.g., Microsoft Office, Arbor)
- Willingness to develop new skills through training opportunities provided by the school

Salary & Benefits

 In line with the London Borough of Redbridge Pay Scales

LBR 10 – LBR 11 (Salary will be dependent on experience and qualifications, and may be negotiable for an exceptional candidate.)

Full-time Contract – 43 weeks per year (term time plus 5 weeks). The additional weeks will be worked during school holiday periods, as agreed with the Headteacher.
